The Story

From a hospital bed to a grand opening.

In May 2009, Scott broke his neck in a dirt bike accident and was paralyzed from the shoulders down. What followed was not a pause on his ambitions but an acceleration of them. During 81 days in the hospital, Scott negotiated a restaurant lease, raised capital, and designed his first restaurant while undergoing intensive physical therapy.

Nine months after the accident, Scott walked from his wheelchair to the bar at his restaurant's grand opening, defying his doctors' expectations.
